Phoenix Suns unravel in Charlotte, Los Angeles Lakers struggle to get back on track

The Phoenix Suns have been struggling in recent days and took advantage of their trip to Charlotte to win by a wide margin and get back on track (133-99). The Los Angeles Lakers won their second home game in a row on Sunday.
Phoenix stings the Hornets
Touched by the Covid, decimated in the interior sector, Phoenix had lived a painful end of year 2021, marked by three defeats in four games, all against teams that are a reference this season (Golden State, Memphis and Boston). The few days of rest obtained by the Arizona franchise allowed them to recharge their batteries and to approach the resumption in Charlotte with a newfound offensive efficiency.

The Hornets, who were still on a three-game winning streak, did not really resist on their own floor, and were 16 points behind at the break (47-63, 24th). The gap only grew at the resumption, which also allowed the visitors to rest their stars, the guard Devin Booker (24 points, 7 rebounds) in the lead (29 minutes). This success allows the Suns to come back in the wake of the Warriors, leaders of the regular season who have only one loss less (28v-7d, against 28v-8d). Despite this setback, Charlotte remains in the positive (19v-18d), in 7th place in the East.
