US designer Ruth E. Carter showcases award-winning creations

Designer Ruth E. Carter, who became in 2019 the first African American to win an Oscar for Best Costume Design with her “Black Panther” creations, showcases her vibrant body of work at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia. Speaking from Puerto Rico, where she is working on the set of “Black Panther 2,” Carter feels reckons there is still work to do for the movie industry to be more inclusive.
