Russian President Vladimir Putin calls for diversification of energy exports towards Asia, warning that European countries were destabilising the market by moving to cut out Russian deliveries. “We need to diversify exports… step by step shift the direction of our exports to the fast-growing markets of the south and east,” Putin says at a televised meeting on the energy sector. He also criticises moves by European countries to stop using Russian energy, saying these “further destabilise the market and push up prices”.
